Mission & Vision

The mission of the Patriot Regional Emergency Communications Center is to provide exceptional, reliable, and compassionate emergency communications services to the communities we serve. PRECC proudly dispatches Police, Fire, and EMS for five towns, acting as the vital link between the public and emergency responders.

Through professionalism, integrity, and teamwork, we strive to protect life, property, and community safety. We are committed to accurate information gathering, effective resource coordination, and delivering rapid, dependable support during both routine and critical incidents. PRECC is dedicated to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and upholding the highest standards of service to our partner agencies and the public.

Code of Ethics

Purpose

Patriot Regional Emergency Communications Center adopts the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International Code of Ethics, with minor modifications. All employees are required to read, sign, and adhere to this Code of Ethics and its guiding principles.

Code of Ethics

As a Public Safety Telecommunicator, I am dedicated to serving the public; safeguarding life and property; ensuring that fellow personnel are informed of all calls requiring their attention; and supporting all public safety responders in the performance of their duties. I will uphold all rules, regulations, and responsibilities associated with my position.
I will conduct my personal and professional life in a manner above reproach. I will maintain composure during times of stress and emergency, exercise self-control, and remain mindful of the safety and well-being of others, regardless of race, sex, religion, ethnicity, or background. I will obey all applicable laws of the Commonwealth, the regulations of the Federal Communications Commission, and the policies of the Patriot Regional Emergency Communications Center. I will keep all information received in the course of my duties confidential and will release it only as authorized and required for official purposes.

I will never act in a selfish or unprofessional manner, nor allow personal feelings, prejudices, friendships, or animosity to influence my actions, decisions, or performance. I will carry out my duties without favor or bias. I will strive every day to meet the expectations and demands of my position with professionalism, courtesy, knowledge, and calm. I will remain diligent in my responsibilities and pursue ongoing growth in my skills and abilities.
